Our General Works department undertakes projects generally in the value range £50,000 - £1.5m, the area of their operations extending throughout Hampshire and south-east Dorset. The team specialises in refurbishments, extensions and smaller new build projects, and has developed an emphasis toward customer service, having extensive experience of working within live and occupied environments, such as schools, hospitals and care facilities, and have had considerable success in recent years working on fast-paced projects such as Ward Refurbishments. They have also recently completed a rolling programme of refurbishment works to Leisure Centres under the jurisdiction of New Forest District Council, which has included five Centres. Our recent work on assisted living accommodation at Rosalind Hill House in Stockbridge earned us a National award from Considerate Constructors in early 2016.
The General Works Team is led by Shane Kirby, Commercial Manager. Shane joined the Company in 2011 as a Project Surveyor, having previously held various roles within the Industry gaining wide-ranging experience of the construction process. He latterly moved to become part of the Team in our General Works Department, and was promoted to Commercial Manager in 2015, from where he now acts as first point of contact for Client Teams and other stakeholders. He holds a BSc(Hons) Degree in Construction Management.
