These timber-framed houses (12 for rent, 6 shared ownership) are constructed on a site shared with a major private developer. The project involved sensitive interfaces with the private scheme and the careful investigation and remediation of possible contamination. The project was constructed under the ECO Homes scheme, and achieved an EXCELLENT rating.
The project was nominated by Weymouth & Portland Borough Council (supported by our Clients) in the Local Authority 'Built in Quality' awards, in the category of Best Multiple Housing Project, and was subsequently shortlisted as a finalist from nineteen nominations.
