Situated in a busy residential area of Southampton, this project comprised remodelling and refurbishment of an existing concrete frame office building to convert into 14 separate flats with associated communal space. A rooftop extension was added to create a fourth floor to accommodate two of the flats.
The external envelope of the building was upgraded with replacement fenestration, refurbished and refinished elevations, and re-roofing works. Internally, the building was completely stripped out to include asbestos removal, relocation and replacement of access stairs and upgrading separating floors, with all associated fit-out work.
External works included drainage alterations, boundary fencing and gates, construction of cycle and bin stores, and hard landscaping.
